https://comenvironnement.hypotheses.org/

The Study and Research Group "Communication, Environment, Science and Society" is part of
the French Society of Information and Communication Sciences (SFSIC). The group is a meeting
and research space for environmental communication, defined by the International
Environmental Communication Association (IECA) as "all the various forms of interpersonal,
group, public, organizational and mediated communication that constitute the social debate on
environmental problems and issues and our relationship with the rest of nature".

This group aims to provide an open space for dialogue between scientists, society and
professional communities in order to increase the influence of research carried out on themes
that are increasingly important in our society. All the researchers in this group wish to build skills
and knowledge useful for the "ecological transition" that has become essential in the
Anthropocene era.

The thematic perimeter of the group includes the different communicational aspects of notions
related to environmental concerns: ecology, sustainable development, ecological transition, risk,
scientific and popularization discourse, scientific and museum communication, mobilization,
crises, discourses and communicational activities of public and private, market and non-market
actors, at local, national and international levels, using all types of technology, media and devices.
All research approaches and methodologies in information and communication sciences can be
used.
